What the Credential Is

The Qualified Behavior Analyst® (QBA®) is a professional credential offered by the Qualified Applied Behavior Analysis Credentialing Board (QABA). It is designed for professionals who meet QABA’s requirements for education, coursework, supervised fieldwork, professional recommendation, and examination.

The QBA® certification pathway includes academic preparation in a related field, the required coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis, supervised fieldwork, professional recommendation, and successful completion of the QBA® examination.

Who Can Apply?

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements established by QABA, including:

Holding a master's degree from an accredited university in a related field
Completing the required theoretical coursework component
Completing the required supervised fieldwork
Meeting QABA's requirements for professional recommendation, supervision, background verification, and other eligibility criteria

The Pathway

How Certification Works

Five stages from coursework to credential, all governed by QABA.

Complete the Required Theoretical Coursework

Complete the required theoretical coursework component in Applied Behavior Analysis and related areas.

Complete the Required Fieldwork and Supervision

Complete the required practical fieldwork and supervision in accordance with QABA requirements.

Complete the Application Requirements

Prepare and submit the required documentation and complete the QABA verification and approval process.

Take the Examination

Once all requirements have been completed, verified, and approved, the candidate can take the QBA® examination through QABA.

05

Successfully Pass the Examination

Successfully pass the examination to complete the certification process and obtain the QBA® credential, subject to QABA approval.

What We Offer

The Coursework Programme

We provide the theoretical component of the required QBA® coursework through a structured 270-hour programme delivered across six semesters.

The coursework covers the core areas required for QBA® preparation, including Applied Behavior Analysis, autism core knowledge, ethics, supervision, assessment, behavior-change procedures, measurement, data analysis, and other essential behavior-analytic competencies.
